Folder Location

Firmware files are copied from an Elecraft file server to a firmware folder on your computer before they are sent to your W2. This section helps you choose the folder on your Computer to store firmware files.

The W2 Utility creates a Library:Application Data:Elecraft:W2 Firmware folder for this purpose. You may use the Browse button to start a Browse for Folder dialog.

Check for New Files

Elecraft makes new W2 firmware available by placing files on an Elecraft-provided file server. The W2 Utility uses the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to copy new firmware files from Elecraft to the folder you have selected on your computer.

Your computer must be connected to the internet to use this W2 Utility function.
