Course Description and Materials

 

Overview: This class will prepare operators to perform the role of RACES Unit Leader in the county EOC.
Intended Audience: Leadership staff with County EOC Radio Room Operator endorsement
Prerequisites:

These requirements will not be waived unless you are only missing something that is pending to complete the requirements. I.E. missing a class for a Credential. The Credential Program Manager will need to approve any such wavier.

Length: 3 hours
Students should bring:
  • Copy of course materials (see below)
  • Pen/pencil and pad of paper
Learning Objectives:

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Have the knowledge to properly perform as the RACES Unit Leader in the county EOC Radio Room and to continue working on other requirements for the RUL Endorsement.

Course slides will be made available to participants before the class. These slides are not for public distribution and should not be shared outside of those working on, or holding, the EOC RACES Unit Leader Credential.

There will be a homework assignment to be completed before class. Those signed up will be provided details prior to the class date.
